Cecilia was studying for the WACOMA master’s degree — Water and Coastal Management — at the Ravenna Campus of the University of Bologna, working towards her degree in Science and Technologies for Environmental Sustainability.
In May 2024 she died suddenly, at the age of 25.
The Association is dedicated to her memory and pursues the causes she cared about:
- it runs citizen science activities that involve people directly;
- it awards scholarships for master’s theses in Science and Technologies for Environmental Sustainability — international Water & Coastal Management (WACOMA) curriculum and Environmental Analysis and Management (AGA) curriculum, Ravenna Campus, University of Bologna;
- it promotes action to safeguard the coastal and marine environment;
- it raises funds for scientific outreach, environmental communication, publishing and documentary work.
